It’s a pleasure to meet you!

I have spent over a decade working with clients who have experienced trauma, and through my clinical work, I began to notice that there was a unique impact on mental health and well-being among those exposed to animal-related traumas and losses. I knew this area was overlooked in mental health, and I knew I wanted to help. These professional experiences, along with my dissertation research on moral injury and my involvement in animal rescue, have led me on a path where my two passions—mental health and animal welfare—have come together in a truly meaningful way, culminating in the creation of Fortifyu.

As a wellness coach for animal care workers, I now use my extensive experience as a mental health professional and educator to promote the human-animal bond and to foster a kinder, more humane world for all living beings. It is a profound honor to serve those who dedicate their lives to animals. I couldn't imagine working for a more deserving and inspiring group of individuals. If I’m not interacting with animals, these are the people I want to surround myself with—YOU are my herd.

I am excited to work with you. Let’s go make a difference in the lives of some really great animals!
